The SplashDown Job Fair is Saturday, February 25, 2017 from 10 AM - 1 PM at Stonewall Jackson High School. See the flyer
for more information. Students as young as 14 years old can work in specific positions at SplashDown Water Park. No work permit is required for students under age 16 for summer positions at SplashDown as they do not interfere with school. Students must complete the online application prior to the job fair (www.pwcparks.org/jobs
). They should print a copy of their application and bring it with them to the job fair.
For students who plan to attend a Lifeguard hiring event, they should bring the listed information on the flyer
as well as their bathing suit and a towel as staff plan to complete the required swim test that day so they can hire the student on the spot. Students must pass the swim test in order to take the required lifeguard classes. This year Prince William County Parks and Recreation is paying for the lifeguard certification classes for all lifeguards (a cost savings of $165). This means PWC Parks & Rec will hold the lifeguard's certification so they can't take it with them to work somewhere else.
SplashDown staff will also be at SJHS to do recruiting during all lunch shifts on Wednesday, February 15 in the first floor cafeteria.
